Aloha and Welcome to our Ohana!
Recently, we have been in such a flurry of activity organizing, building, and bringing to completion our latest project, the Rose House, that we must apologize our website has lagged way behind.
All this is set to change! Starting spring 2018 repeat visitors to this site will notice a clear evolution in our website. In a matter of weeks, changes to site content will be in place that reflect our latest activities and give a more accurate picture of what we are doing now.
For now, you are more than welcome to look through our website as is. Do keep in mind that a lot has fallen out of date. Please get in touch to learn more about recent developments or check back soon.
In the meantime, do check out our video,

Who We are!
Lokelani 'Ohana provides social therapy in our community, with elements of native Hawaiian culture for adults with developmental disabilities. Our therapeutic programs include biodynamic gardening and many interactive art forms. Check out our Therapeutic programs page for more information.
Lokelani ‘Ohana is inspired by the teachings of philosopher and academic, Rudolf Steiner, and the international Camphill movement supporting social change. Founded by pediatrician Karl König, Camphill communities cultivate human relationships among people of all abilities through shared living and learning.
We are located on the beautiful, tropical island Maui in Hawai'i which brings much inspiration daily to our vibrant, creative lifestyle. We thrive on learning and living together as one Ohana supporting each others potential and sharing life purpose.
Your contribution will help us complete our new ADA Life sharing Home which will provide long term residential support for 5 adults with developmental disabilities and their staff. This beautiful 6,700 sq. ft., 11 Bedroom, 7.5 Bathroom home is centrally located, close to a bus stop, park, swimming pool, the University and shopping malls. The spaciousness within this home offers opportunities for creative arts, music, movement, celebrations and for individuals to have personal space. We have raised 97,000 dollars towards our 128,000 dollar ADA renovations.
Join us in creating this unique Farm Workshop Building supporting prevocational therapeutic programs for people with developmental disabilities and members of the community. Lokelani 'Ohana has partnered with other agencies on Maui for 9 years offering socially therapeutic creative programs in organic gardening, Saori weaving, and arts/crafts. The 1.30 acre farm is on old Hawaiian Land with Kuleana water in Waihe'e providing an accessible, serene and inspirational environment. Our Biodynamic Farm programs have fed the community for 9 years.
